Virtual Pancakoree Contest

When you cannot have a real pancake fight - go virtual

PANCAKOREE

Have you ever heard of one of these? Neither did Towpath district of Seneca Waterways council before it was introduced by Justin Kuzma, the Towpath District Executive.

What is a Pancakoree?

This a fun event pitting troops and patrols against each other in all aspects of pancake creativity, skill and all out WAR!

VIRTUAL Pancakoree

Instead of throwing out the whole Pacakoree for 2020, the planning team put on their bakers cap and came up with an alternative. Many of the challenges we could still have even though Scouts are still at their house. Let's go virtual! We can still have prizes, we simply need to change the execution. Here is what they came up with!

Largest Pancake Stack

The Scout will need to stack as many pancakes as possible on top of each other without assistance from syrup, toothpicks, or rods. The stack must be able to stand for 1 minute, the scouts will have from 1 to 2pm to stack their pancakes. Height will be judged from the top of the plate to the top of the stack. Also, pancakes cannot be more than ¼ inch thick.

Largest Pancake

The Scout will be tasked with making the largest pancake that can be flipped by them. We will be judging based on the diameter of the pancake at the thinnest point.

Coolest Pancake Design

Scouts will need to present their best designed pancake. This could be as simple as Mickey Mouse style to looking like Andre the Giant (bonus points will be awarded for any that look like me).

Best Looking plate of pancakes

This one is open for interpretation and opinion. But our team of judges is up for the task!

Virtual CAMPFIRE! YAAAAHHHHHEEE!!!

At 5pm, well be holding a virtual campfire. Complete with Songs and Skits.

Best Tasting Pancake

This one is open for interpretation. This could one single delicious pancake or a whole stack that tastes great. Toppings are allowed, also crepes will be considered, in my book they are pancakes.

Pancake Obstacle Relay Race

The scouts will have to run the course while flipping a pancake in a pan, provide your own pan. We will have 4 legs of the race with at least one obstacle for them to do. Penalties will be given for any dropped pancakes.

Capture the Pancake

After dinner we will split the camp into 2 teams and they will play capture the flag, except the flags will be wooden pancakes.
