Scout Brigade of Fort George

Re-enact the War of 1812

Join the excitement, the challenge, the chaos, and the experience of bringing the War of 1812 to life.


This camp sees participants from both sides of the border learn first hand about life as a soldier in the Niagara peninsular campaigns, and play the greatest cap gun/capture-the-flag-game in the world!

Cub Scouts can join the Canadian Fencible Infantry, while Scouts join one of the main Regiments (Canadian Scouts join the 49th Regiment of Foot, King's 8th Regiment, or Royal Newfoundland Regiment and American Scouts join the US 6th Infantry).

Venturer Scouts can join the Artillery Regimentor come as staff, and Rover Scouts and Scouterscan join as Offer of Service on site safety, site services or with a Regiment.

How to Register

Visit the registration website at which you can link to from numerous spots within this website.

Once you arrive at the registration website you will create an account using your email address.

Note:  as the registration website is new as of 2018 you will need to create a new account on the site even if you had registered in 2017 or earlier.

After your account has been created you will set whether you are paying in CAD or USD.

Next you can choose which programs you are registering for.

Once your registration is completed you can pay by either PayPal or cheque.

To pay by cheque please make it payable to “Scout Brigade of Fort George”.

Cheques may be post dated no later than September 1, 2019.

The Scout Brigade of Fort George scout camp has a lot to offer in terms of activities and programming for Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, and Rovers!

A mix of jamboree style camping with a rich history program that sees the youth actively engaging in the history of the Niagara Peninsula, a parade through Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the greatest cap gun fight the world has seen.

In order to give you an idea of what a weekend with us at the Scout Brigade Fort George  looks like, we are providing a sample schedule based on past camps. A detailed schedule of this year’s event will be sent to you after registration.
