Camping, Hiking, Fishing - Former Girl Scout Campground

Beechwood State Park is a 288-acre (1.17 km2)  state park located on the shore of Lake Ontario in the Town of Sodus in Wayne County, New York. The park occupies land that was formerly the site of a Girl Scout camp. Our troop just camped there this past weekend, 11/11/2022 - 11/13/2022.

There has been a log of clean-up done at the camp since our last time camping 2 years ago in 2022.

This year, we stayed in the eastern entrance lean-tos. While some of them have their rear windows broken off, they are respectably, quite nice and the shelter is large with 2 giant picnic tables.

Be aware, this is a public park now. People are hiking through the camp quite often. And Fisherman love the east bay and creek. If you are staying in the eastern lean-too site, you will likely have fisherman visitors strolling through your site at 4am in the morning.

Bring toilet paper with you!
