Cub Scout Den Leader Resources
Your One Stop Spot for Everything All Den Leaders Should Know!
Cub Scout Leaders across the country are continuously coming up with and sharing creative ideas and useful materials as they plan their scouts path through each rank. As part of my Wood Badge ticket I created this resource center, which attempts to bring together this wealth of information in a format that is easy to navigate and makes meeting planning more enjoyable.
- Meeting Resources by adventure, sorted by rank - These include meeting plans, videos, printables, songs, activities, games and more that are specific to the adventure you are planning. The required adventures for each rank are complete. The electives are a work in progress.
- Resources for Virtual & Distanced Scouting - How to lead a virtual meeting and make it interactive, how to adapt requirements for virtual meetings, socially distanced games, an extensive list of virtual fieldtrips and hikes by subject, and more.
- Administration & BSA Structure - How to find your council/district, Roundtable, Training, Scoutbook etc.
- Links - Official & Unofficial websites, blogs and podcasts. Sites to find trails and historical sites near you, or animated knot tying.
- Leading a Den - The role of parents, den chief, denners, den flags and more.
- Uniform - Where to purchase patches, what you need, what is optional, and how to sew it on!
- MORE Scouting - Roundtable, University of Scouting, PowWow, BALOO and Wood Badge, which new leaders may not be aware of.
To access the public page for this resource center, go to our Pack website: https://www.troopwebhostcs.org/pack350oregon/. Scroll to the bottom of the menu on the left and select "Shared Resources."
While you a visiting, check out our Cub Corner page which is public and open to all scouts and siblings. Some parts are specific to our pack, but most is universally fun for scouts wherever they are!
This page is a work in progress. If you have ANYTHING to add, PLEASE reach out to me.
Still working my ticket,
